CP was ultimately formed as the result of PricewaterhouseCoopers decision to exit the Investment Advisory Business. This exit was made on August 31, 2007 and was a result of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Jim Hagedorn was part of a group of senior leaders at PricewaterhouseCoopers that purchased their respected regional investment advisory businesses.
